Elk City; 1950

This is a Shell well in the Anadarko that caught fire in Elk City in 1950. This is a Kinley job and that is young Mr. Adair with his back turned to us going over something with Kinley, right of him. The well eventually bridged and that was that. I have no clue what all these damn people are doing but thank God for roofing tin. I'm thinking its cold out and this feels good to get sort of close for these folks; Kinley never had a problem with people following him around. Adair on the other hand would not have stood too much for this; they'd all be back about 400 yards, where they belong.
