For the US shale oil phenomena, cash flow is not the same as profit... and it damn sure is not "free" cash flow if you are up to your hard hat in long term debt. The amount of cash flow a handful of shale oil companies generated 2Q19 was so minimal (based on capital exhausted) the common investor could do better burying its money in the back yard with the dog bones.
