George West

This is short video clip used in the presentation, The History of Oil Well Firefighting & Blowout Control.

The 'star' of this particular video clip, then working for Cudd Well Control, is George B. Hill. George played a significant role in the history of well control over the years, with Cudd Well Control but also as a leadoff, senior well control specialist for Wild Well Control for over a decade before joining Cudd. George was a key figure in Kuwait in 1991 and responsible for controlling many blowing and burning wells after Desert Storm. George is a cool fella, too.

So, to quote the famous, Carlos Santana: "one for the treble, two for the bass, come on everybody, lets rock this place...."
