Old Oily Stuff

We've had some of the most famous oil finders, geologists and figures in Texas oil history as working interest partners at MCA Petroleum over the past 40 years; none more appreciated and fun to interact with than King Ranch Oil and Gas, Inc., its long time president, and our much missed friend, W.B 'Dub' Yarborough, 'Tio' Kleberg, and Arthur Seeligson himself. This connection occurred because of MCA's long term, and much appreciated relationship with a great oil finder, Stanley L. Perkins of Corpus Christi and San Antonio.

MCA's current geologist on retainer, and dear friend, Dwight E.Cassell, worked for Humble Oil & Refining (Exxon) and helped develop Seeligson Field in the late 1940's and early 1950's.

Seeligson Field was discovered in 1937 and the age of this well sign is circ. 1946. It hangs, proudly, in MCA's conference room.
