Using 2021 well productivity in the Permian Basin of 175,661 barrels of oil the first 12 months of production life, it will  take 8,727 new Permian wells in 2023 to meet anticipated US crude oil export levels of 4.21 MM  BOPD. The Permian typically only completes 5,500 wells per year.  The cry for moar tight oil from the Permian Basin simply means more oil exports OUT of the Permian. Every well drilled in that Basin in 2023 essentially is for the benefit of other countries.
